The kitchen needs. Proper deep clean. The cooker hood extractor is filthy and stinks of stale grease making the whole downstairs have that awful smell. Floors not clean, stair carpet is filthy at the bottom. Cobwebs etc Towels were marked and like sandpaper . Good location enclosed yard was great. Just needs a real good clean

A beautiful cottage very well appointed and comfortable. Location is perfect for a relaxing break and perfectly situated to explore the surrounding areas. Definitely a wee gem.
The location itself was great for a lot of our favourite hikes in yorkshire, the local pub do delicious desserts everything is easily commutable! Hot tub was the perfect size for two people would be great with the cover in winter. The cottage itself had a really cosy vibe! Only note we have is alot of things need a little update like all the crockery, utensils, outdoor furniture etc maybe a welcome pack would be helpful too, this is the only place we have stayed over the last 5 years that didnt supply a welcome pack with info Would recommend for anyone who doesnt like to be too isolated when in the country as based on a busy estate. Nice change, we really enjoyed our stay

Wow what can I say had a fabulous stay so chilled and relaxing loved the cottage. Everything you needed hot tub just made it too. Would definitely recommend to all will also be back for another visit soon.
A beautiful, tastefully decorated cottage with a lovely kitchen. It's a bit strange having an open toilet and bath in the bedroom but manageable thanks to the outside toilet and shower. Some maintenance issues, particularly with the outside furnishings. The outdoor loungers are in a dangerous condition. The outdoor space is great for dogs but a piece of flat rubber or wood on the bottom of the gates would make it even safer for small dogs. The bed was really comfy but it could do with new pillows. Thank you to the owners for the wine and chocolates. Overall a pleasant stay.

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need. Dave was very reactive to a minor electrical problem and dealt with the issue immediately. Everything was spotless and clean and the hot tub was a lovely addition. The bottle of wine and fudge was a thoughtful welcome gift. The local pub serves lovely pub food and is a short walk away and the locals are very welcoming. A little village shop is across the way with everything you need for your stay. Lovely country and riverside dog walks all 5 minutes away. You won't be disappointed

Lovely and quiet. Excellent Sunday dinner in the pub next door. Very warm and cosy. Excellent Indian takeaway in Richmond that delivered! The only thing that was needed was maybe a book with how to work things. Especially the underfloor heating! I would highly recommend.
This is a fabulous quirky property, which felt so homely, spacious & comfortable. The bedding & towels smelt lovely, thank you. The hot tub was what really sold it to us & didnt disappoint, the tv was a great addition. We would recommend this property, only 3 miles from Richmond, which has a lovely theatre, nice shops.

Perfect cottage. 1010 for everything. Location brilliant for exploring. In the village there is a shop that is well stocked and very friendly, there's 2 pubs one a couple of minutes walk away the other a 10 minute stroll, both friendly with lovely, reasonable priced food. We will definitely book the dove cote again.

What a wonderful, cozy little cottage in a beautiful location. The village itself is very pretty with a local shop just across the road from the cottage and a lovely local pub just down the road. The cottage is clean and well maintained with almost everything you could need the only things we found lacking were some large glasses we like to take large glasses of water to bed with us to drink throughout the night and an indoor shower! It was a little awkward showering in the bathtub! Other than that, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. The bedroom is cozy with a very comfortable bed and plenty of storage. We slept incredibly well during our stay. Dave came and introduced himself to us on arrival and explained a few things before reassuring us that if we needed anything he was only next door. Other than that, we were left to our own devices. There are plenty of places to explore within a reasonable driving distance. We visited Richmond only a few miles away and Whitby, which was well worth the drive. Although we didnt venture there on this visit, we have previously been to Barnard Castle, which is only a few miles away and definitely worth a visit if you havent been before. We came for a weekend away for a quiet, relaxing weekend to get away from the daily grind and thats exactly what we got! The hot tub is great, especially with the outdoor TV to watch whilst chilling out.
We had a lovely weekend break here. The cottage had everything we needed. Hot tub was superb. Enclosed area was good for the dogs. Lots of walks to go on in the area. Visited Richmond castle, the river and the icecream parlour. They were all great to visit. Weather was forecasted to be very wet, on the whole, it was good to us. Hosts were welcoming, and although there was building works going on next door it didn't impact on our weekend break. Thank you for the wine and chocolates.

The cottage was lovely and was just as outlined on the listing. Great location in the village and a perfect spot to go off exploring both by foot or in the car. It was our first holiday with our dog and the fact that she had the secure outside space to go into as well was great. The hot tub was a perfect addition thoroughly recommend it! What a perfect way to relax at the end of a day of walking!

First impression building work & builder overlooked back yard. Went for peace & quiet & private holiday kind of restricted times to use hot tub & think advert should state this. On this point was a couple of days not there & if your out until evening won't be a problem. Property is clean and comfortable but did get a shock sitting on right side of settee sank right down in it. Bbq outside seen better days. Decent base for setting out from good walks for Dogs warm property & just about right space for 2 people.
